Eley Kishimoto and Louise Goldin got london fashion week of to great start. Eley Kishimoto's collection was full of vibrant color and sleek shapes - such ass the patent gloves and ankle boots. The loose shapes and color palette reminded me of Marc Jacobs on the less-dowdy, less-experimental side(I don't dislike MJ!). I really liked the collection as a whole and thought it was very wearable and the prints were fantastic.
The Goldin collection was a sort of, F/W 07 Balenciaga meets "sweater land". Her heavily knitted collection was inspired by monitor pixelation and sci-fi mixed with traditional patterns an d knit. Although it's only her second season showing Gouldin stepped onto the runway with a reputation fro pushing sweater dressing to a new level and experimenting the medium. I thought her collection was certainly interesting to look at and probably 10x as comfortable as those metal plated Balenciaga leggings.
