One of our favourite spots in our house is the kitchen. When we were looking for our house the possebility of a island counter was high on our wish-list! My boyfriend and I just love cooking. When I designed the kitchen it was very imporant that during cooking you could have contact with the rest of the house, a lot of workspace and easy to work and clean. I wanted it to look professional, but it should blend in with the living room, so no cluttery appliances on the working area. I thought about which steps you had during cooking and placed everything so you can easily acces everything. I also put as many drawers as possible in it, even behind doors are drawers, because they make everything more organised. We now use it for almost a year and the kitchen works exactly the way I hoped it did. When we have guest everybody tends to hang around the kitchen, which makes it even nicer to cook for friends!
