This is a piece i did for AP art, it's the first project i've done and i'm extremely pleased with the way it turned out. My concentration will most likely be geometric sculptures and anything else 3-d, like clothing etc.

what is your favorite piece of clothing you own?
I can't decided between my navy blazer and the red studded t-strap heels Arabelle made me.
favorite designer?
As of after New York Fashion Week, I think either William Rast or Rebecca Taylor.
What have you been listening to lately?
I listen to a lot of Of Montreal and the Killers
what's life like in san francisco?
Well the weather is super capricious, one moment its Indian summer and the next day its freezing. However aside from not knowing what to wear, San Francisco is the coolest city ever. Everyone is so different and you always meet someone interesting. And theres really no limitation on how you express yourself, come on- its San Francisco!
why did you start this awesome blog?
Well, I remember clicking on some link on some forum which brought me to a really great fashion blog. Thats when I decided I need to make one.
what's your favorite cheap store?
The cheapest place I go to is Thrift Town or Forever 21.
who are your fashion icons?
My permanent fashion icon is Mary Kate because I would always kill for what she's wearing on her feet.
do you want a career in fashion? if so, what?
I would so love to but the high school I am attending is basically preparatory for majors in English, Math, Science and such.
what kind of grades do you get at school?
I'm actually very uptight about grades and I get mostly A's but always a B in math. Its Asian failing!
where do you want to live?
I'm studying French so of course I'd love to live in Paris. I went with my aunt last summer and I've been missing it since.
what is your favorite blog?
My favorite blog is Knight Cat, Karla's Closet, and Lookbook.
how much do you spend on clothes a month?
Probably about $100 and a little more.
do you do anything extracurricular (instrument, sports, art. etc.)?
I paint and I used to do gymnastics and track.

New York Fashion Week: Favorite Dresses
Ever since school started my life has been somewhat of a blur, and as much as i'd like to make a post everyday - i can't. But i have managed to stay up to date on NY fashion week, I've checked style.com everyday and these are my findings;
1. Richard Chai: I love the mixture of delicate lace juxtaposed by the structured black sandals. The dress itself is gorgeous and fits the model like a glove. I would wear this everyday of the week.
2. Preen: I love the shapes created with the fabric of this dress. rather than focusing on a bold pattern, the designer chose to emphasize the volume and flow of the fabric by sticking with a silver tone.
3. Thankoon: Two things i find impeccable about this dress are the green chiffon and the detail of the bust line. Thakoon did an amazing job of creating a dress both refined and intricate, yet nonchalant as reflected by the loose shape.
4. Marchesa: Of course Marchesa has produced an exquisitely ruched and sculpted dress, it's what we expect of them! I particularly love how the lightness of the fabric contrasts with the molded and structured shape of the bodice and skirt.
5. Proenza Schouler: Proenza Schouler produced a surprisingly retro collection for the spring. From what i've seen in the past they haven't ventured into edgy vintage wear. it was a pleasant surprise. They managed to create dramatic yet wearable pieces of highly stylized zoot-suit-esque clothing. One of my favorite pieces was this violet and royal blue bandage style top and dress, the look was flawlessly styled.

Luella, you are mine
Today I went to Le Garage Sale, it's this giant sale where all the up-town/expensive stores sell all their designer clothes for cheap. It happens only twice a year so i made sure to go. While i was there i picked up these amazing Luella sunglasses, so what they're a little ray-ban? and everyone and their mom has a pair... i still love them!
Goodbye Solo Starring African Newcomer Souléymane Sy Savané Premieres At Venice Film Festival
Many news stories worldwide are reporting that movies from the United States are not being represented at the upcoming Venice Film Festival due to the writer’s strike. One movie from American film maker Ramin Bahrani is making its debut at both the Venice and Toronto Film Festivals. Goodbye Solo is the anticipated film from acclaimed director and 2008 Independent Spirit Award winner Ramin Bahrani. Ioncinema.com named Goodbye Solo the #32 film on their Top 100 Most Anticipated Films of 2008.
Goodbye Solo tells the story of Solo, a kindhearted and friendly 34-year-old Senegalese taxi driver in North Carolina, who is hired by William, a tough 70-year-old white southerner, to drive him in two weeks time to a mountaintop from which William plans to jump to his death. But Solo decides to charm his way into William's life by becoming his driver, and this odd couple begin an unexpected friendship as Solo hopes to change the old man's mind before the two weeks are up.
Newcomer Souléymane (Solo) Sy Savané was born in the Ivory Coast to a Woloff mother and a Mandingo father. Souléymane’s early desire to travel lead him to live in Paris, and later on, to take a job as a flight attendant with a Pan African airline. Eventually, he landed in New York where he lived for 7 years. It was while in Gotham that he decided to study acting and would book the lead role in Goodbye Solo, his first feature. Now Souléymane lives in Los Angeles and looks forward to a promising acting career.
Goodbye Solo will premiere at the Venice Film Festival (Aug 27th to Sept 6th).
