I've decided that since I've graduated & have more free time I should do more outfit posts - as grueling as they are... This is what I wore today.

Last Dayz

I've had an amazing time in London and I'm really going to miss it! I'll be back soon though and will definitely apply to art school here. Today we went to the Spitalfields Sunday market as well as Brick Lane. I picked up this amazing dress by london based designers Anami and Janine. More on them later!

Y'all know

First full day in London, the weather is beautiful the city itself is even more so. While I'm here I want to stop by Central St. Martins and the London College of Arts. I can really see myself here in the near future. ALSO BIG NEWS, this is an outfit post. It's been a while right? maybe a year +/-?

Mornings here are beautiful

Deckker is my latest discovery. His photographs are haunting and grainy and feel like time capsules when they swallow you up.

a hippie? really?

Day 2 of sxsw, the hippie dress comes out

PS check out the sunglasses, i finally got a pair that doesn't scream "FAKEFAIRER"

In Muh Balenciaga

I wish, but i bought this dress in hopes that it would look somewhat similar to the S/S 08 dresses. In other news, i've been sewing a good amount for an upcoming fashion show at MexicArte in downtown Austin. The clothes are for the most part tailored to fit me and although i'd consider myself thin, I'm not "model thin" and the other day when a couple of the models tried on the clothes they were literally sagging off their sides! My design parter and I are going to be smothered in heaps of work for the next couple weeks.

ALSO I've been scouting around for summer internships, preferably with a designer. I was considering Alexander Wang or some one else in New York but the only problem is where to stay. I have absolutely no connections in NY so I'm not sure how i could swing that, but we'll see.... If you know of any internships you think might interest me please e-mail me!

1960

Since before i can remember i've been obsessed with the 60s. The thick eyeliner, nude lips, short dresses, and tall boots. Andy warhol and the beatles, Velvet underground and topless swimsuits. Although I did not live through the 60s and i sometimes feel ridiculous preaching about their wonders, I will forever be inspired by the art and icons it produced.

Finally you 16!

My birthday was yesterday, the 21st and i'm sixteen. No drivers license - yet. But i do have two new fashion books that i will be posting more about in the future. Today i ran a few errands on S. Congress and began packing for Mexico! I'm leaving tomorrow for a couple weeks to visit our house in central Mexico and i'm debating whether or not to take my laptop... I'm sort of looking forward to being "unplugged", if that were to be the case then i'd be making only a few posts from internet cafe type places with three foot monitors from the nineties.

Yesterday my mom and I payed a visit to Neiman Marcus Last call and i spent my time trying on silver lace up Chanel wedges, gold Manolo booties, and a wicked Balmain S/S 08 dress. i didn't bother with the less expensive collections because i figured they be a little bit too Lauren Conrad "Rich mall girl" for my taste. I left empty handed, but thats what happens with a high fashion junkie whose budget runs far below $560.
