I have always been somewhat drawn to the whole "librarian chic", "dowdy as dress-up", "fabulous frump" that the fashion world seems to be endlessly remorphing, redefining, and sexing up. But not until Proenza Schouler's pre-fall 2010 collection could i say that any of these interpretations of the classic sexy secretary verged on "high fashion". The collection was a hybrid, composed partially of the marled look of missoni, but on a far more sophisticated (Balenciaga) level. There is no doubt that Alexa Chung will soon be spotted in one of these covetable garments.
