School again. After a week of scrambling around downtown austin attempting to make it to everyshow on my list sxsw has come to an end. I managed to see a handful of bands/DJs in 4 days and only regretted missing my lady friends Rye Rye, Kid Sis and Little Boots. Those I did get to see were: DMG$, Anamaniguchi, Natalie Portman's Shaved Head, Micachu and the Shapes, We Have Band, Maluca, Theophilus London, HEALTH, Picture Plane, Drop the Lime, Frankie Chan, Toxic Avenger, Totally Michael, Bird Peterson, Klever, and best of all, LA Riots, Steve Aoki and MSTRKRFT.

TOMORROW...

...is the innaugural day of the SXSW '09 music festival. I've got my eye on YELLE and Natalie Portman's Shaved Head as well as the 8bitpeoples showcase. I'm surprised at my own interest in the 8bitpeoples show considering it's going to be an overdose of ultra hyper gameboy music. A lot of my interest springs from the cultural aspect of it - game boy music as a way of life.LOL.
