For the deemed leader of the grunge trend that seems to have gripped fashion groupies everywhere, it must be hard to move on. And much to our disappointment, it shows in Decarin's latest collection for Balmain. Decarin had a lot to live up to after the last two seasons of immensely popular shows. Each piece of clothing was striking but as w hole the collection did not push the limits of his aesthetic ability. The collection was still a hit, Decarin stuck to his unfailing formula of: short dress+short boots+shoulder pads = sold. Even though Balmain might have left us wanting more, it will undoubtably continue to be a leader of fashion trends as it has been in the past.
